Application Materials

Applications for study abroad programs are accepted throughout the year in cycles.  Each program has its own requirements for eligibility as well as deadline dates.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

FIU International Student Exchange Programs

  • Have a 3.0 GPA;
  • Fluently read, write and speak the language of the host institution in which you’d like to study.

FIU Sponsored Programs

  • Have a minimum 2.0 GPA (may be higher for some programs);
  • Contact the individual program director to inquire about GPA requirements, language requirements or any other prerequisites for participation in their program.

Non-FIU Programs

  • Have a minimum 2.0 GPA (may be higher for some programs);
  • Inquire with the provider about eligibility requirements for acceptance to their programs.

Application Deadlines

FIU International Student Exchange Programs

  • Fall or Academic Year programs - March 1
  • Spring programs - September 15

FIU Sponsored Programs

  • Deadlines vary by program.  Please contact Program Director for information.

Non-FIU Programs

  • Deadlines vary by program. Please contact Program Provider for information.
